Our Girls

Here is our Katie bug! A BIG 4 years old!!! Our house was fit for a princess with tutu's hung from the chandelier, tulle draped from one end of the room to the other, and enough princess accessories some thought this was Disney World:) Dresses for dress up and a mirror to see how they look. Purple was everywhere! During the party, the princesses and princes went to charm school to learn how to be real princesses. Taught, of course, by Aunt Jen. They all passed the school with flying colors:) And then it was time for tea! And pin the amulet on Sofia the First. Katie was all smiles and said her party was everything she dreamed of. Happy Four Years old Katie!

Emily landed the lead role in her first grade musical production of Hats! She was amazing on stage. Her name was Ima Milliner. She sang a solo and had many many lines to memorize. We are so proud of our little star! A cookie cake to celebrate!

Grammy and Gramps love to take the grandchildren to their club. The Easter bunny comes, there are eggs to find, face painting, and an awesome balloon man. The girls had a blast! Getting ready for the Egg Hunt: Katie helping Molly get some eggs. She was such a sweet big sister!!! Emily was over with the big kids so she couldn't help. Katie being amazed by the balloon man. Butterfly wings! Emily found him hilarious too! A purple and blue baby chick! Molly didn't get a balloon, but she loved watching all the hoop-la! Happy Easter!

We woke up Easter Morning and that silly bunny hid our baskets. Molly found hers first hidden behind this rocking chair. Then Emily found hers behind a curtain. Katie's was in the bathtub and that made her giggle pretty loud:) The biggest hit the bunny brought was princess dress up outfits for their American Girl dolls. Molly was pretty excited about fruit pouches and teddy Graham's:) Then it was time to get ready for church:) After church we stopped by to see Great Grandma Betty! She was very excited to see us! Happy Easter!!!!

Every morning (with out fail) Katie climbs into our bed at 6:30. Today she jumped in with a mischievous grin on her face. She proudly stated, "I don't have to do my ear drops today because I hid them!!!" (Insert evil laugh) Andrew: you hid them? Katie: I did! And I'm not going to tell you where. Andrew went down stairs to attempt to find them. While he was gone I explained that she had an ear ache and the doctor really wanted her to put the drops in so her ear would feel better. She did not care. "I don't like the ear drops. Now I have hidden them and I don't have to do them anymore. The problem is solved!" Andrew came back in the room without ear drops, but with her favorite frog stuffed animal. The negotiations began. He explained that froggie would be his until he had the ear drops. Katie: that's not fair! I hid the drops! And I'm not telling you where! Andrew: I know, and now you need to go get them. You don't have to tell us where y...

I could listen to Molly's laugh all day! I love this little girl!!!

Katie is closing in on her fourth birthday. Here are a few of her favorite things: Favorite color: Purple Favorite princess: Belle Favorite quiet activities: puzzles and reading Katie loves to wear dresses. And jewels:) Everyday. She doesn't like anything boy except for her Justice League underwear. Her daddy is encouraging her love of superheroes. Favorite lovie to sleep with: night-night blanket Favorite Song to sing: 'Call me maybe' Favorite Song to dance to: 'Beat it' Favorite Foods: cheese (string, american or mozzarella), Tomatoes, broccoli and any fruit Katie requires very little sleep. She wakes up at 6 without fail. Her feet hit the ground and she is ready to start the day. She still takes an hour nap each day (which mommy REALLY appreciates). At bedtime, she reads 30-60 minutes before falling asleep in a pile of books. Luckily for mom and dad, most nights she sleeps through!
