Our Girls

Tonight is the last time we tuck Emily in as a kindergartener.

Today Katie and I had about 15 minutes to kill downtown before a lunchdate with friends. We decided to go to the Candy Factory! They were making some sort of chocolate brittle. The big bucket of chocolate (as Katie called it) looked delicious! Who doesn't love a quick trip to the Candy Factory?

Katie: Mommy mommy! Don't be all crazy! Look at the clock. It is NOT crazy time. Mommy:When will it be crazy time? Katie: when I say so. Probably at 6:49 or so. That's what my clock says. Katie and her "clock" pictured above.

Have you seen the the new Disney show "Doc McStuffin"? Katie has seen the show twice and is obsessed. Today she played Doc McKatie:) Luckily I had very low blood pressure and my temperature was ok. I did have to get about 10 shots. I'm not quite sure what they were all for. I'm not sure my doctor knew either:) If you need a doctor- I know who to call!

Emily got on stage with 5 other girls and sang her Daisy song at a recent awards banquet. She also had to introduce herself. She did a great job! Here she is with all the girls at the ceremony.

Toes are so entertaining! They are always there to pull on... chew on... And they make me laugh. Really laugh. They make me so excited I flail my limbs around! I just love my toes!

Funny story from today: > Katie: mom did you know that Damen has the coolest underwear? Yeah! They are cardinal ones! I want ones just like him!!! Or maybe he will just let me wear them for a little bit:)

Molly went for her 4 month check up today with Dr. Holly. She is a healthy baby weighing 15 lbs 5 oz. She is in the 90% for weight and 75% for height. Mommy knew she was a chunky monkey because the portable car seat isn't so portable any more! Haha!!! This week Molly discovered that she could reach and grab onto her toes! Molly is a great sleeper (11-12 hours at night!!!!) and is now on an awesome routine throughout the day. She has no interest in the food we eat so she will probably stick with milk for right now. We will try cereal later on when she asks for it. Also this week her birth announcement ran in the paper. So we are 4 months behind... Better late than never!

 Our baby turned 16 weeks! My how time is going by so fast! She puts her hands together at the middle of her chest as if she is praying quite often. And she talks soooo much!  The Saturday before Easter we traveled to Quincy to go to the Country Club with Grammy and Gramps. They have an awesome Easter Celebration.  Emily and Katie rode their first horse! Granted it was just around and around in a circle...but they LOVED it!  The Easter Bunny was there and had stuffed bunnies for each of the girls.  Each girl got a tattoo on their arm. Emily got an very colorful Easter Egg.  Katie chose a mermaid.  When we woke up on Easter morning, the kids had to stay upstairs while us adults checked to see if the bunny found Grammy's house. Tummy time is hard work! I much prefer to be on my back! Or chillin' in my bouncy seat. But mom thinks I need that tummy time exercise... Something about large thighs:) Large thighs or not... I'm just pretty darn cute!! I have also learned a few new tricks this week: I can reach for toys and grab them with both hands. I can put the toys in my mouth. And I can put my feet together like Aunt Chaela (see below). What a week!

Lately Katie has been having some accidents. She doesn't get in trouble for having an accident, but she does get lots of praise for success! The following story happened at Ms. Pat's- Katie: Pat stop! Don't come over here! (she puts up her hand to emphasize STOP) Ms. Pat: Why can't I come over there? Katie: Because I don't want you to step in my pee, of course! (And then she goes right back to coloring on her daily note like nothing unusual happened.) At least she is thinking of others!
