Our Girls

This last weekend we were lucky enough to have tons of family in town. And they all got to stay with us! It was one huge bunking party!!! We started the weekend off at a local Mexican restaurant. Uncle jeff and Emily approve! So do grandma Betty and Katie:) And then it was home for some bedtime stories. We woke up the next morning ready to cheer on the mizzou tigers. M-I-Z, Z-O-U!!!! Was the cheer we heard from Emily, Katie, and her 2 cousins. The kids also thought it was really cool to play toys in the parking lot! And play all sorts of pretend games with their older cousins! Uncle Nate and Chaela were there to play and give some snuggles too. Fun was had by all! Thanks mom, dad, grandma Betty, Aunt Sara, Emily Meyer, Brody, Haley (and her entourage of 5 college friends), Uncle Eric, Andrew Meyer, Uncle Jeff, Uncle Nate, Aunt Chaela, Ian, Trisha, Kameron, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Clete, Katie, Michael, Chael, Ellie, and our family of 4! Can't wait till next year when we can do it again...

Emily is very aware of what she wears and how she looks. I was shopping with Grammy the other day when Grammy found this outfit that she thought em would love. I did not like it at all...but Grammy insisted we text em a picture so em could decide. So we sent the picture and Emily did indeed love the outfit. Here she is posing wearing the brightest pants known to man. What does mom know anyway?

Katie is really into making things fair for Andrew and I. When she goes poop on the potty we sometimes have to "save" it till daddy gets home. Disgusting I know...we are hoping this will end very soon. The other day I couldn't get her out of her carseat because she wanted to show daddy her "boogies". Katie: dad will be so sad if doesn't get to see these boogies. I don't want him to cry! He will say, what a big girl! Mommy: we can just tell him about them. He will still be proud of you. Katie: But he won't SEE them! I know! Take a picture for daddy! He will love to see it!!! Then I can get out of the car. (and because this was a simple solution that ended with #1 no fit and #2 me not having to save the boogies, I agreed. This was the first thing Andrew heard about when he walked in the door. Welcome home daddy! )

Katie and I decided to have lunch at Emily's school last week. What fun! After lunch we went out to recess and played (actually Katie and Emily played...mommy just waddled around watching!) The kindergarteners LOVED Katie just a bit too much and wanted to pick her up and carry her. Katie kept saying, "I'm not a baby!" Emily can't wait for us to come back and visit. Either can Katie:)

We have had some beautiful weather this fall. Luckily we have been able to take advantage of that weather by playing outside a lot. The girls love the little park here. And I love the giggles I hear while 2 sisters are enjoying being together. YouTube Video

Katie went poop in the potty! It was a party at our house tonight- there were wild celebrations and all because of ... Poop. Katie is on the path to becoming a potty- trained girl! That means... Maybe we WILL only have one baby in diapers!
