Our Girls

Katie took off running from my room with my watch. I yelled "katelyn!!!!". She brought the watch back and replied, "Mommy I don't like it when I'm in trouble. " Mom: you are not in trouble. I just don't want you to have my watch. Katie: then why you say 'katelyn'? My name is 'Katie' when I'm good. Later the same day Katie was not wanting to nap. Mom: you are 2 years old. 2 year old kids need a nap everyday. Katie: But you're not 2. Mom: I know. Katie: How do you know 2 years old need naps? Oh Katie! We do love how you keep us on our toes!!!!

We have had such a mild winter. Emily went for a scooter ride in early January. Who would have thought she would get hot in long sleeves and pants? She still needs a little practice:) YouTube Video

Emily and Katie went to their very first movie, Beauty and the Beast. We have tried to get Emily to go to the theatre before but she wouldn't go. She gets very scared and she really doesn't like to watch new movies. We lucked out that one of her favorite movies came to the big screen. And it was in 3D! She loved it!!!! So did her sister Katie:) Will it take us another 5 years to go back to the theatre? Time will tell:)

Em and Katie wanted to make a candle lit dinner for daddy. Mommy helped just a bit to get a frozen casserole on the table but the girls did the rest. Katie put the plates and napkins on the table (5 plates, 9 napkins). Em put out the forks and spoons, 4 of each placed in the correct location on the table. Em tried to move the plates and napkins but Katie said no. Surprise daddy!!!

Molly has started sleeping through the night at 3 1/2 weeks. I don't want to brag too much because I know it can change...but I am so thankful!!!!! We love our Molly!

Em and Kate love mcallisters deli. Why you ask? Because they love the big cookies!!

We gathered on January 7th for the Kinney Christmas celebration! Molly had about 5 cute outfits to wear throughout the day (she was about to outgrow them and some were Xmas themed). She made it through all 5:) Molly has held her head up since she was born. Now she holds it up for several seconds at a time. Katie giving Papa a big squeeze! Grandma bert and her new shower cap. Wait till she plays water volleyball with her Florida friends! Emily goofing off with uncle Nate and aunt Chaela. Aunt Mary getting some cuddle time. Ba getting snuggles too.

Em and Katie and their cousin watching the candy store train go around the building. Actually riding the mall train with grandma bert and their cousins. What fun!

Molly has blocked tear ducts and during week 3 they got infected:( we have to put eye cream in her eyes (on her eye balls) twice a day. We don't think her goopy eyes make her any less cute. Holding daddy's hand. Meeting grandma bert for the first time.

Molly has been a great sleeper so far! She goes about 3-4 hours at night between feedings. She went for her 2 week check up and weighed 9 pounds. She is alert for about 45 minutes twice a day. We have to make sure we talk and sing during those times. The rest of the day/night she just sleeps soundly.

Katie has really started to make believe with toys. Her plot today was "all the people" were in the dungeon. Maleficent was behind this evil scheme... YouTube Video

We were watching a movie and Katie announced she had to go potty. She went and then came back to report to us. I didn't get the first version of what she said on video... Andrew and I were laughing hysterically. We held it together and asked her to tell us again what her poop sounded like. YouTube Video This was her very first loose stool being potty trained. It does sound different! Leave it to a 2 year old to point out this difference. Haha!!!!

We rung in the new year with the Chris and Tracy Bach family. Molly was the life of the party. Em and her cousins enjoying some fun punch. Shouting Happy New Year! (at 8:15pm...when the new year officially starts for our family) 2012 here we come!!!

Molly's photo shoot:) We had a very laid back Bach Christmas on the 24th. Thanks to Chris and Tracy for hosting. We were back home early for a family nap:) We left food for the reindeer and cookies for Santa. Emily kept close tabs on where Santa was throughout the evening. Then it was early to bed for everyone.

We brought little Molly home on December 23rd. She was slightly jaundice so we had to go back to the hospital the next day for another blood draw. We still thought she was perfect though!
