Our Girls

Emily is turning 8 this summer and planned her own birthday party! I'm serious...this was ALL on her own! I helped a bit with the crafts. We began by making party hats for the dolls. The dolls loved getting fancy hats for their tea party! And then we went outside to our party food! We played the party game Emily invented...it was a hit! The girls played at least 10 rounds of it. Not kidding. And then we came in to play more with the dolls. Each girl tie-dyed a shirt for themselves and one for their doll. We also "sewed" sleeping bags for all the dolls. It was a fun fun party! And I love it that my 8 year old planned it! Happy birthday Em!!!

Molly Anne is a strong-willed little 2 year old. When her mind is set on something, it takes an act of God to make her change it. On this day, she insisted on wearing this outfit, with this hair bow, and her special Minnie Mouse flip flops. I said yes to the outfit and the hair bow, but had to say no to the flip flops (we were going to the park). She threw a MONSTER fit!!! Lasted about 10 minutes. She was screaming and out of control. Then there was silence in her room for another 10 minutes. And finally, she came out of her room, sat next to me in the kitchen and said, "Mommy, please let me wear my flip flops. I love them on my little feet. I said please. Please can I wear them?" My answer was still no. But she continued..."Can I give you kisses?" "Please Mommy please?"

Emily has moved up to coach pitch! She is in the yellow team and does a great job hitting and fielding the ball. Here she is in action!

Our kids attended "Kids Club" which is like VBS on steroids:) This years theme was Super Hero's and to say our girls had a blast would be a HUGE understatement. Here they are on their last night- family night. Family fun, complete with bounce houses! And ice-cream... And face painting! Have you ever seen a more beautiful butterfly? Our girls memorized bible verses and can tell you that their super hero is.. Holy Exalted Rescuer Omnipotent We love some of the things our new church does!!!
