My Night With Katie

I know we have posted before that Katie makes us laugh. A lot. Tonight was no exception... She comes upstairs wearing one set of jammies and carrying another. She then proceeds to try to put on the second pair over the first pair. Me: Katie what are you doing? Katie: I'm putting on my hopper-roos. Me: Your what? Katie: My hopper-Roos. I was getting my jammies on when I looked in my drawer and saw these jammies. And they said "let's hop!" So I said "ok" and I'm gunna put them on and hop. And that is what she did. She wore them like she was hopping in a sack race and jumped all around. I guess that is just what you do when you wear hopper-Roos. 10 min. later... Me: Katie you have a booglie in your nose. Let me get that (with a kleenex). Katie: ok. (she patiently stands there while I attempt to remove the offending matter.) Me: That is gross! (it was stretching out her nose) Katie: yeah, that kind doesn't taste good. 10 min. later... We were curled up i...

April Fools!!!

Image
For April Fools this year we started a new tradition that my Grandma and Grandpa Thomas used to do with their kids. We had a dinner but each person could only have 3 things on their tray at a time. You had to draw out your "ingredients" for each round. Katie got a spoon, applesauce, and ketchup. Yes she could have used the spoon for the applesauce, but it's much more fun to use your fingers!!! Emily got a drink, but didn't have a cup! Then Katie got the same! And poor daddy got a plate, napkin, and cup for one round. What a sad hungry face! Happy April Fools everyone!!!

The Yodas

Remember when B.T. used to live with us? He was Emily's "friend" that we never saw but was so real we knew every little detail about his life. Well eventually, B.T. moved out. And now the "Yodas" have moved in. Katie has a friend at daycare who is obsessed with Star Wars. He has a dictionary of characters that he and Katie practically read every day. We are pretty sure that is where the Yoda idea came from. Things now heard from Katie: "Those silly Yodas are under my bed again! And they are soooo loud!" "Mom, don't close the door to the van yet! The Yodas haven't all gotten out!" pause. "ok. Now you can close it. " "Dad, that Yoda was scary! He was all dressed up and running so fast!" I recently asked her if the Yodas came with us to Grammy's house. She said "no". Later she told me, "they didn't all fit in the car with our suitcases!"

Molly week 14- the Zoo

Image
Molly went to the St. Louis Zoo for the first time during week 14. She rode in her stroller most of the day. Her sisters really wanted to see the elephants. They first found elephant poop. (which they thought was hilarious!) And then they found elephant tracks. And finally they saw the elephants! Molly was excited too because that meant she got to get out of the stroller while the girls watched the elephants. We also got to see the penguins! And Molly had her photo taken with one of the birds! The littlest cousin joined our adventure for a few hours. It was his first time at the zoo too! What a fun girls day out!

Molly - week 13

Image
Molly is already 13 weeks old. It seems like time has just flown by! She is a happy baby most of the time. She will smile at anyone who talks with her. She coos and has conversations. She also continues to spit up quite frequently. YouTube Video Andrew was the lucky recipient this time. The mass amount of fluid that leaves her body is not stunting her growth. Her thighs are impressive!
