Our Girls

I was working down in our storage area after I tucked the two older girls into bed tonight. I overheard their conversation and it made my heart melt... Katie: Emily are you still awake? (Yelling from her room to Em's) Emily: Yes. Why? Katie: I want to turn on the bathroom light because I'm scared. Emily: I'll turn it on for you. Katie: Ok. I love you Emmy! Emily: Love you too! Good night!

We traveled to STL to have Thanksgiving with Nate and Chaela. The 3 girls had a wonderful time!!! Molly got her "Papa time". They are best buds. Papa says,"who's girl are you?" And Molly says "Papa's girl!" We had some time on Friday to do Black Friday Shopping. It was slightly overwhelming for Molly, so she just took a snooze. And then there was Chic Filet for lunch-mmmmm! We went to Eckarts Farm and did a little craft and have their faces painted. A Purple Heart for Katie. A red heart for Molly. And a winter penguin for Em. We also went to a neighborhood park. Molly and Jack liked the swings:) And the "ice cream truck". What a fun family time!!! Thanks Nate and Chaela!!!

Molly LOVES shoes. Lately her fascination is with her rain boots:) She wore them all day at Ms. Pat's and then took them off for a few moments to take her bath. Immediately after her bath she put them back on. It was quite a struggle to remove them for bedtime, but we assured her she could wear them in the morning. We tucked her in bed and she went right to sleep... Sort of. First, she got out of bed, put her boots back on, and then drifted off to sleep. We found her like this when we checked on her. We just let her continue sleeping in them. This girl LOVES her boots:)

We went to see Seussical the Musical at Rock Bridge High School. To say our girls loved it would be an understatement!!! Katie came home and started dancing some of their dances:) "Can we go back tomorrow again???"

Molly was really close to being able to climb out of her crib. We decided for safety sake, it was time to transition her crib to a toddler bed. She did FANTASTIC that first night! She went right down to bed with no problems at all! We checked on her several times and she was all snuggled up with duck and puppy sleeping soundly. Please- no more pictures she said:) It wasn't all success though... The next morning at 5am we were greeted with "I woke up mommy! I woke up daddy!" as she toddled into our room. In the following nights, we put a gate at her door (which she climbs over if she really wants out). After waking at 5am for about a week, she is now back to sleeping till 6:30ish. Which is nice for mommy and daddy!!! Our baby is growing up!
