Our Girls

"I kept myself busy during my second week of life by eating every 90 minutes. My mommy said she was getting a bit tired, but I had no trouble sleeping between feedings. In fact, that is pretty much all I did. Eat and sleep. Oh yeah, I poop a lot too:) My big sister calls me a "Poopster" and she enjoys helping to change my diaper. I don't really cry all that much. I don't have time. Like I said, I'm busy eating and sleeping." - The littlest child

Daddy took our oldest to an egg hunt and an Easter party at Ms.Pat's house. "The bunny came and left us these BEAUTIFUL eggs! Gentry helped me find some. He's my friend at Ms. Pat's."

Because of the "difficulties" we were experiencing with our oldest adjusting, we decided to take her out for a fun time without her sister. We had a blast at Bonkers. Our littlest had some great bonding time with Grammy at home. Grammy was even able to give her a bottle! Sliding with Daddy. Here she is jumping on the trampoline.

Aunt Mary took our oldest girl on a fun bike ride to the park. It was her first bike ride of the season. Thanks Aunt Mary!

Sorry for the long delay since our last post. Our precious new child has wanted to eat about every 90 minutes. That works out to 30 minutes of feeding/burping, and 60 minutes of "free" time... repeat that routine FOR TWO WEEKS! I was/am exhausted! But it is getting better:) She has gained weight and now only needs to be fed about every 2-3 hours. Last night she even went a stretch of 4 hours. Whew! Our precious older child has had a rough time adjusting to having a sister. She has mainly taken her anger out at me although every now and then Andrew is the recipient. She has always been incredibly loving toward her new baby sister - which we feel very lucky for. She is always giving lots of hugs and kisses to her sister. And just like the feeding schedule, her anger/frustration/resentment/etc. towards me has gotten better the last few days. So due to the recent improvements (and the fact that I have Ba here in the house to help), I have a few spare minutes to post on the blog:...

So I'm taking our oldest Girl to daycare this morning. We're in Ba's car and Aunt Jenn's CD is playing. For those that don't know, Aunt Jenn and Uncle Brady combine voltron-like to form the band Wrent. They have a CD - download it here or go to their Web site here . Shameless plug completed - on with our story. Our 2-year-old LOVES to hear her aunt and uncle sing. So we're listening to the first song "Name in Lights" (download here ) and by this time we've heard it about 8 times. One of the lyrics is "gypsy" so She asks "Daddy what's gypsy". So we talk about that for 30 seconds. The song gets to the end, Our Girl asks to hear it again. Now, I never really thought that Our Girl really listened to the lyrics of music. But then this line came again "I'm a gypsy on a mission." And I can see in the rearview mirror that Our Girl's face is lighting up. Suddenly she blurts out: "Aunt Jenn's going on a mi...
