Katie's 2016 Cross Country career took her all the way to the National Youth Cross Country Championships taking place in scenic Evansville, Indiana. While Jessica and Katie got familiar with the racecourse, Andrew, Molly and Emily went to the Evansville Children's Museum, which was surprisingly AWESOME. Another bonus was that since it was the middle of a week-day in November, we had the entire place to ourselves. We spent hours there, and I think we played with or experimented on every single display there.

Molly ran a grocery store for part of the afternoon and then took a promotion to work ...

... at the local bank.

Molly and Emily put on a few different plays on their kid-sized stage ...

The Cast of Characters

Emily

The oldest and in her mind the wisest. She's a reader, dancer, girl scout, singer, playwright and thinker. She crafts, she draws, she journals. At times she is an older soul than either parent, at other times she is a mess of silliness. She is precocious annnnd sometimes dramatic.

Katie

The second child who accepts second-billing to none. She is a whirlwind of compassion, cartwheels and comedy. She is bold and fearless except when she is being shy and cautious. She has read more books than any other first grader at her school. Boom (as she would say).

Molly

The youngest, but by no means the meekest. She is clever and loud and creative. It always seems as if she is figuring out how to run the house - how to get everyone else to do life the Molly-way. She hates to be messy and loves to play - well really anything.
